Snippet Pack — "AI Revenue Reality Check"
Source: drafts/blog/ai_revenue_reality_check.md
Status: DRAFT — self-approved (authoring HoG)
Hook #1: Revenue-Proof / Anti-Grift
Compliance: no $-sign, no revenue-share, no fabricated metrics, faceless, English
Snippet 1 — Twitter/X Single Tweet
Most "AI made me money" claims are one of four things:
a lie, a lottery ticket, someone selling you the shovel, or all three.
The version that compounds? It doesn't fit on a screenshot.

Snippet 2 — Twitter/X Thread (3-tweet)
Tweet 1/3:
Three "AI revenue" flavours that aren't actually AI's fault:
1. "I made $47k in 30 days" — screenshot, no context, not repeatable
2. "My agent earned me money while I slept" — so did your savings account, quantify it
3. "AI replaces your team" — sold by someone whose team it has not yet replaced
Tweet 2/3:
The version that actually compounds looks like:
→ Cost-side leverage: same output, 60% fewer humans
→ Speed-to-market: ship in 2 weeks what competitors ship in 2 quarters
→ New surface area: things that were previously off the table
Tweet 3/3:
The unglamorous version is the one that compounds.
The glamorous version is sold on a course landing page.
Context is the deliverable. Build it like a product.

Snippet 3 — LinkedIn Op-Ed
The three questions that expose most "AI revenue" claims
You will see a claim today that looks like this: "I made [insert impressive number] with AI in [insert impressive timeframe]."
Before you screenshot it and forward it to your team, run it through three questions.
1. What's the counterfactual?
What would the same person have earned without the AI layer? If you can't answer cleanly, the number is meaningless.
2. Does it survive a cold restart?
If the system stopped today and restarted next month, would it earn the same? Or does revenue depend on momentum and attention that don't carry over?
3. Is the revenue net of the API bill?
"AI revenue" stories routinely omit the inference cost on the other side of the ledger. Surprisingly often.
Three honest yeses is rare.
Three honest yeses is the actual signal.
The version of AI revenue that compounds doesn't fit on a screenshot. It looks like margin quietly expanding quarter over quarter, while competitors four quarters from now realise they can't match your pricing without bleeding.
We're running the unglamorous version. In public.

Slide 2 — "The 4 flavours (none of them are actually AI)"
1. Lottery ticket — one-time spike, not repeatable
2. Course — someone selling you the shovel
3. "My agent made me money" — so did your savings account
4. "AI replaces your team" — sold by someone whose team it hasn't replaced
Slide 3 — "What actual AI revenue looks like"
Three columns:
- COST-SIDE: Same output, fewer humans, margin expands
- SPEED: Ship 2 weeks vs 2 quarters, first-mover advantage
- NEW SURFACE: Things previously off the table become economical
Slide 4 — "The unglamorous version compounds"
Chart-style graphic showing flat top-line + rising margin curve.
